Fall Anime 2015 Season

Shows I'm anticipating:

AntiMagic Academy is gonna be my dose of despair next season. I'm gonna start preparing myself for the rage. Oh and while this may sounds a lot like Kuusen Madoushi at first, don't dismiss it at that, because it's not. I really hope this covers until Volume 5 at least, since that's when shit really hits the fan and the actual turning point of the MC's character development. I'd hate it if people dismiss it as "meh, just another haremshit with pushover MC that has no substance" because honestly, that's my opinion until I read volume 5. I can see each volume takes about 3 episodes to resolve (probably 2 for first volume because viewer wants MC kicking ass, fast. ymmv tho), so it's not a far-fetched idea.

Heavy Object because Kazuma Kamachi (To Aru series author)
K: Return of Kings because why not? Probably have to rewatch the first season and Missing Kings because that was a trippy ride I don't even know what I was watching.
Gundam Iron-blooded Orphan for obligatory mecha.
I almost got a heart attack when seeing the title Comet Lucifer, but realized it wasn't Hoshi no Samidare/Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer and got sad afterwards. Still watching though because mecha.

OP Man is pretty iffy. From the trailer it seems too jacked up in the action part, but Saitama still got his derp face slipped in. Still miffed that they didn't put Caped Baldy as his name.
Would probably also watch Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry, but it was rather boring as far as the manga goes. And the protagonist kinda clashes with AntiMagic's, with both being regarded as lowest of the low.

Gonna watch "Is the Order a Rabbit??" and "Yuru Yuri" because I love Moe shit apparently.

Heavy Object 1: Well that's fucking ominous.

I like the male characters in this one, seems like it'll be a good bro flick. That OP also shows a lot of this dumb duo, I approve, even if it seems they won't get a mecha of their own. They'd probably gonna do some strategic intellectual backflips a la Aldnoah to win, hopefully with less one-trick pony antagonists.

Kinda turned off by the amount of fanservice though.

Fan service in episode 1 is rarely a good thing :/ I'm not sure what I think about this whole "giant ball" thingy. I'll give it a chance My brother said that it was stupidly good but it become ridiculous later on.

That seatbelt bondage scene is just out of place imo, not to mention bath scene in the first 10 minutes or so. Why even is?

I don't mind the close up on the CO though. I'm just that much of a hypocrite.


I think they were short on budget to draw(model?) a few more cannons, shame on them.

So after watching Heavy Object, I have something I need to say.

The winner is still Anti Magic Academy, but I'll try both to see how the story's gonna branch out.

Also with this, there's 3 long, red haired schoolgirl heroine in one season (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry, Gakuen Toshi Asterisk, Shinmai Maou no Testament). Well, if you include 'sunset orange' as red, it's 4 then (Anti Magic Academy). Not to mention, the MCs of these anime are also short dark haired fencers who is usually seen as weak but is actually OP (excepppt Shinmai Maou's, cuz he's a fucking Hero by birth). So much character clash in one season.

There was another season I can recall that had a lot of similar protagonists...I wanna say it was one of the seasons where either season 1 or 2 of To Aru Majutsu no Index was airing.

I didn't like most of Yuru Yuri season 2, but season 3 seems to be a lot better so far. Himawari and Sakurako continue to be the best part of the show. They were basically the only reason I even watched all of season 2.

Thinking of trying Comet Lucifer and Concrete Revolutio (though I looked at the opening and the main guy's arm thing is kinda creepy), will say my impression of those after I finish these midterms

Gundam Barbatos 2: I'm really loving the main characters in this one. Mika got some great battle dialogues and even a "shut up b****" moment to the resident annoying damsel in distress with severe pacifism messiah complex. The pace is rather slow though, 2 cours and 2nd season perhaps? Hopefully we get a timeskip post season 1 if that's the case, so that Mikazuki (and the girl who likes him) can hit puberty. He and Orga were pretty much the same age in the flashback, but Orga became all hunk while he remained shota.

The enemies had some pretty dumb and hypocritical moment in this episode.

Ein: "You coward attacking Mobile Workers with a Mobile Suit"
Mika: "Bro, what are you piloting right now, and what was I piloting just now?"

Crank: "Do you think your old MS can beat my state-of-the-art (not)Zaku?!"
Mika: "Pretty sure I one shot your friend just now."
