The only game that really needed a remake was the first Neptunia. Mk2 onward was where they fixed every problem I had with the first, though tbh Mk2 had its own problems. The extreme lack of Nep-Nep (because new protagonist Nepgear has to save her) made me not like the plot of Mk2 nearly as much, and the gaming industry in-jokes seemed a lot weaker. It was the in-jokes and Neptune's quirky, humorous outbursts that made the first game good in spite of the horrible battle system.
But oh well, at least Vita owners with no PS3 can play them all. Ironically I'll just be playing them on a Vita TV rather than on-the-go, so the remakes will be somewhat pointless for me aside from the changes to the plot and gameplay.

Yeah, that's the ultimate problem here. The original trilogy is now presumably non-canon (while I assume the new storylines are similar and PS3-only players need not play the the Vita titles, one would assume that the Re;Birth titles are the "real" story.)
The question is whether Victory II will get a Vita port, because all the spin-offs have been on Vita.
It's seriously absurd how Gust and Compileheart have been doing this nonsense, they've basically outdone Namco Bandai's Eternal Sonata, Vesperia and Graces nonsense. I think Gust has done this for ALL their games since Ar Tonelico Qoga?
BTW where does the Neptunia anime fit in? Apparently a lot of Re;Birth's story changes are due to a positive reaction to the anime series.

They can all be canon tbh, just as alternate realities. Mk2 was already not actually a direct continuation of the first game, but an alternate timeline/reality (in order to write in Nepgear and the other CPU Candidates, who didn't exist in the original Neptunia) - they even kinda did some flashbacks that were similar to, but different from how things went in the first game.
The anime itself was basically another self-contained rewrite of the plot again, and speaking of the anime, that reminds me I need to keep an eye out for the Blu-Ray/DVD release.

Well, the good news is that FUNimation is really winding down their limited editions, so you probably don't need to pay much attention, especially for a series like Neptunia. The bad news is, when they do do them, they're pretty much like the niche LEs I've been complaining about, in that they're ACTUALLY limited now (and they have FUNimation.com-exclusive Collector's Editions.) Once they're out, they're out. I think they stopped LE reprints just this year, I remember missing out on Jormungand or Steins;Gate or something like that, which were otherwise available until this year, and noticed this behaviour on a couple new releases since.

Bad Company 2 is good, but nobody I know has the Onslaught DLC so I can't finish it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ar_Nosurge#Ar_nosurge_Plus hahaha f*** off Japan, seriously. Well, that definitely makes me feel better, but it also makes me feel worse about missing Fairy Fencer F because a Vita version of it has not been announced.
I know what you're asking for is a Vita port, but there's a PS4 sequel to Fairy Fencer F announced that apparently has "part" of the original game in it. Not sure what they mean by that, but anyway yeah that's a thing.
So, I ended up buying the LE off of eBay. Only cost me about 30 bucks more, but now I'm guaranteed to be able to play it. Half of me feels like I'm shooting myself in the foot, but the other half thinks that if they're going to put "part" of the original game in the sequel, then I should just play the whole thing because who knows what that means...And it might be an excuse for them not to make a Vita version anyway. Then again, looking at Neptunia, it's a safe bet that this series will get a Vita port eventually, but considering that I don't plan on getting *any* PS4 titles on PS3 or Vita (unless it's a digital cross-buy title,) and therefore would not buy Advent Dark Force Re;Birth, I think it's a smart investment.
Tecmo Koei localizes every-fucking-thing so it's practically guaranteed that I'll be able to get Ar Nosurge Plus.

Fatal Frame We're-Not-Gonna-Get-It-Again-Because-Nintendo looks really great, I wasn't too excited for 4 but this one looks really pimp, and the fact that Ayane actually has a story mode and unique gameplay mechanics and is not just a skin is really interesting. I like the idea of Koei Tecmo injecting their characters and other guests into games besides Dynasty Warriors.

BF4 Premium Edition on October 21st. Its $60 this time. BF3 Premium Edition was $70 when it came out for some reason.

Considering that the "Battlefield 4, 2.0" patch came out just recently, I definitely think that EA's trying to get people to feel that the game is being re-launched, so to speak, kinda like FFXIV: A Realm Reborn.
I was going to get the game regardless if they released a Premium Edition, but that patch certainly sweetened the deal.

Oh yeah. The Bayonetta 2 demo came out a couple days ago. It's...Honestly kinda disappointing. I was hoping for DMC-style evolution, but it's more like DLC for the first game.
Visually it's the same, which is disappointing. The button icons for the Wii U are horrible by the way, they're grey, tiny, and they all look the same. It makes it really difficult to recognize what button you're supposed to mash for Torture Attacks and QTEs. Coloring them like they do in the command list, or hell, giving them Super Famicon colours like the New 3DS would've been great.
Umbran Climax is also a bust, it's just a shitty version of Devil Trigger with no health regen (it's cool that you get to see Bayonetta's summons outside of QTEs, but so much shit is going on that you can't admire the details.)
I think the game kinda suffers from Wonderful 101's problems where the game would look great if it wasn't so zoomed out and didn't have as much visual chaos.
The demo itself is also poorly done. The first game's demo gave you the prologue and a small chunk of the first level so you could run around and try stuff out. This demo is 100% prologue and you just rush from set-piece to set-piece with your only opportunity to experiment being the tutorial/loading screen, the ABSOLUTE WORST kinda of demo you can make.
I have no doubts that the game will be fun, Platinum's games always rush their first impressions, but I've gotta be honest, lately I've been feeling that Platinum hasn't really learned or changed anything since Bayonetta 1. All their games suffer from a lot of the same issues. This demo has kinda proved that.
Also the 15 plays limit is still stupid Nintendo. I'm holding onto that Smash Bros. 3DS demo just because it's an example of what they SHOULD be doing.

http://ca.ign.com/articles/2014/10/13/donkey-kong-country-land-trilogies-coming-to-nintendos-virtual-console-in-europe fucking finally, I've been watching Maximillion's Retro Coach series because I've waited so long to play these again (I'm looking forward to getting all the DK coins in DKC2 again because I'm a masochist I guess. I think I never 100%ed DKC3 because I was missing like one secret thing on the map that I found out about years later when I no longer had a SNES.)
Now all I need is Super Mario RPG to come to it, and I'll finally be satisfied with the Wii U Virtual Console's SNES library.

How to use Google Images? Yeah.
A more worthwhile nitpick would be the fact that FFX-2 is not an anime series.

No. I mean do you think she knows the kawaii Rikku picture she posted was created by a guy who makes Garry's Mod-esque 3D porn with modified video game models.

Why would she care? You act like VAs aren't aware of the wacky world of video games/anime on the internet.
