The LN and manga of Blade Dance is actually full of softporn the anime wouldn't be that different.
To the point where Seikoku no Dragonar seems tasteful by comparison even though it showed a lot more because at least Dragonar wasn't obnoxious about its fan service?
Aldnoah Zero is shaping up to be the best of this season so far. Rokujyouma no Shinyakusha and Tokyo ESP are also fairly promising. Everything else I've watched is meh.
Outside of currently airing shows I just finished marathoning Full Metal Panic. Â Fumoffu was hilarious but seemed out of place between the first season and The Second Raid. It's like, let's take all the funny bits from the first season (mostly the dynamic in the relationship between Sousuke and Chidori) and make an OVA based entirely on that. Except let's make that OVA an entire season of the show. In between two seasons of the "normal" show that is way more serious. Okay...
Also: it was both creepy and comforting that Sousuke seems so much like ME irl aside from the military stuff. He's such an introvert that when he's not fish-out-of-water'ing with his military upbringing (YES SIR/affirmative responses at school etc), he just sort of clams up and is like WHAT DO I EVEN DO IN THIS SOCIAL SITUATION!? Commence complete and total social awkwardness regardless of which way that goes.
He can also talk incessantly about military weaponry but he's otherwise extremely quiet. I'm the same way about video games.

I personally think that Fumoffu shaped the better part of The Second Raid. First season is painful to watch what's with the horribly bland animation and fight scenes as well as the awkward stiff jokes. Fumoffu is like a season where the animators decided to screw the rules and go all out random and over the top.
And this fun mood is then carried on to The Second Raid which you can really see how the animation and direction improved as the studio loosen up; the punchline is actually funny and impactful now (the three shot kick of Kaname at the end of season is very hilarious imho).
Then again, I'm a sucker for gag manga/anime of unorthodox slice of life. Fumoffu's last episode just gets me everytime. "Dakara...NANDA?" in unison best line.

Aldnoah Zero: I must say that Inaho looked utterly uninspiring in his first appearance, but man, I never expected to change my opinion of him so quickly.

Taiyz might be interested in this post as I'm about to talk about an English dub.
I started watching my Blu-Rays of Accel World last night. Went with the English dub as I already watched it in Japanese when it aired. Pretty solid dub and I'm really enjoying it. Haru got on my nerves instantly but I got used to him and honestly he really fits the 'pathetic loser' character Haru starts out as - and only because he believes himself to be pathetic. Haru's English voice really reminds me of Scott Pilgrim too, which is weird yet somehow fitting.
What I don't like: forced name pronunciation (rolling the r in Haru so it sounds more like Hadu) and Japanese terms like 'sempai' plus Kuroyukihime instead of Princess Snow Black - it's an online handle, not her real name - go ahead and translate it! This shit doesn't really belong in a dub and just stands out way too much. EDIT: ok I guess I forgot, and I think her real name is never revealed. That changes things a bit...
Also: Stereo for both English and Japanese audio? It's 2014, get your dolby 5.1 shit together, Viz.

Interesting. Instead of being the Main Character that "powers up" and defeat the bad guy, it's the main character that powers up someone else to fight the bad guy.

Kurokami works like this too. Kuro uses the Terra energy provided by her link with Keita to fight. Complete with shouted "Synchro!" power-up sequence.
I'm sure there are examples of this in other anime too.
...Unless you mean the main character powers up ANYONE else, and it doesn't matter who? I haven't been following Tokyo Ghoul.

Aldnoah Zero is really good Tokyo Ghoul has one crazy (but funny) Ghoul... but it's cool so far. Mahouka dragged that tournament forever... Captain Earth is average, but I've made this far --- I might as well finish it! SOA 2 is surprisingly... good? Will it stay this way or is it merely the calm before the trainwreck#2?

Ghoul becomes stronger when they feed on humans. The main character is half Ghoul, half Human (after a certain event). Basically, in that episode, a certain Ghoul was trying to eat him --- and that Ghoul was too strong for the MC and the Girl-Ghoul (ally). The MC allows the Girl-Ghoul to "feed" (just a bite) on him and powers her up.
Right now, it's not the most action-packed anime or whatever. I find the anime to be legitimately interesting. I want to know what will happen. Beside the main character, I feel that any character may end up dying, including the "Girl-Ghoul" eventually. (And no, people aren't dying like flies like in AOT)

Aldnoah Zero is the only thing worth writing home about from what I'm watching.
I finished watching the Accel World dub and OMG I forgot how awesome the ending is. I wish there was another season but everyone's too busy showering the LN author's other series - Sword Art Online - with undeserved praise.
Unlike Kirito, Haru isn't a badass from the start. Haru is the underdog - someone I can relate to all too well. Haru becomes a badass through hard work and slowly believing in himself. Kirito becomes a badass from the simple wizardry of having played the beta so he knows almost everything there is to know about the game from the start. It's just POOF I'm a badass.
Accel World has a message I can actually relate to about believing in yourself and trusting your friends regardless of the trials you face. If SAO even has a message for its viewers I couldn't see it through all the damsel in distress garbage.
The ending to Accel World made me feel warm and happy for a character I had been cheering on the whole time - a character that I would gladly call a friend in real life. It also left me wanting more. SAO just made me glad it was over, and with no desire to even touch SAO2.

Akame Kill is alright. It's very "copy-paste" from the Manga
However, if they indeed follow the Manga, it will drag forever >_>

I watch it from an "entertainment" point of view. I find the MC (most characters in general) to be rather ... weak. I also think it's over-hyped. However, so far, S2 is alright. It's not as strong as S1 first few episodes, but it's still alright.

I don't really see how SAO's fandom is any worse than Gurren Lagann or Attack on Titan's.

Kurokami's author seems to like that element because I think Freezing is based on that concept as well.

SAO is very popular. And of course with anything that gets popular, a lot of haters appear too. SAO haters happen to be a particularly vocal bunch in my experience. I'm not a huge fan or hater of SAO, though I do feel that it's too "harem-y" I guess, even though MC stu is devoted to one girl.
Back on topic I guess, Gekkan Nozaki kun = best Summer 2014 anime

So basically what you're telling me is that SAO is an anime based on a light novel series.
