Well I set it to the lily white edition of the Vita game but somebody thought it would be a good idea to only put one of the girls on each banner, so I switched it to the BiBi version of the game.

Yes. My point is that the site only has one banner per game, and for the three versions of the Love Live Vita game, whoever created the banners made Honoka, Eli and Umi represent each unit. I don't know if the units have leaders and if those girls are the leaders of each, but it's seriously annoying if they just chose at random.

Honoka, Umi, and Eli are the centers and leaders of their sub groups as far as I know, so yeaaaah.

Yeah I finished S1 but it'll be a long while before NISA releases S2 I imagine, it'll probably be dubbed out of the gate.

BTW the OVA was not included in the S1 set. Unfortunately OVAs are becoming much rarer in NA, just being left out completely (Senran Kagura comes to mind.) It could be that the Japanese license holders don't want them being sold as a standard episode, also through reverse importation, NA releases of OVAs could be cheaper and they would rather gouge the Japanese fans and leave us out than make everyone happy.

But Sunrise used to produce other genres too.

Love Live is making them TONS of money, and with the movie just coming out in like two weeks, it won't stop anytime soon.

Aside from LL and im@s and various relaxing slice of lives, I also think the moe and cutesy anime are too much and overpopulated.

I do admit that the genre these anime encompass is being associated with and potentially responsible for the homogenization and overall deterioration of manga/anime, but whatever, the industry will sort itself out. Or it will die. Such is capitalism

However, that doesn't stop us from liking it, just let us have fun with our idol girls.

What gets on my nerves is that people complain about anime with cute girls, but they don't really watch much of the anime that don't involve cute girls. It often feels like half of my history with anime is filled with great shows that nobody's watched.

What you're REALLY mad about, is that there isn't a constant stream of Gurren Lagann/SAO/Attack on Titan/Fullmetal Alchemist/Cowboy Bebop-level shows that get everybody talking, and you don't want to dig for shows that are better than their initial premise might suggest.

I realize that during high school and early college, I watched a fucking ton of anime, but I also found a lot of good shit because of that. I think anime today has just as much good shit, but the noise surrounding it has changed (and, honestly, improved on average.) "Good anime" isn't gonna fall into your laps every season, go watch Natsume Yuujinchou.

Let's just agree that we enjoy the crap we want.

Besides, there's usually two to three good non cute girl animes each season that fills everybody's "past anime" needs.

Taiyz does have a point though, people do complain about anime without actually giving it a shot, myself included. Though his second mini paragraph is what I can really agree on with most people I observe on the forums I frequent.

I mean CGDCT isn't for everyone, but it's a bit irksome saying it's everywhere while there's plenty of other anime you can go enjoy instead....

Sometimes we want to kick back and watch something we can relate to without too much extensive plot, but enough to keep us interested. Different strokes for different folks guys.

Most of the "cute girl" anime are G-PG13 content-wise, so the creepy shit can be safely ignored. A lot of the shows are pretty funny if you can tolerate embrace it.

BTW, I am kinda disappointed at the ending (assuming from that last OVA anyway) for that LN Prinny. But at least Hina grew up well and became such a good and concerned kid. That last OVA was actually quite sad despite having a happy tone.
